If your game shows no servers

When the verdict is up but your server browser is empty, check these in order:

Restart Steam, then Rust. The in-game list is a Steam service and a stale login can show nothing.
Clear server browser filters. A region or tag set weeks ago can hide everything.
Steam itself may be down. When Steam's list is out, this page shows a drop too.
On force wipe day, servers restart one by one for about an hour. Update Rust before retrying.
A VPN or strict firewall can block the UDP traffic the browser uses. Try with it off.

Is Rust down right now?

The verdict at the top is live: we read the full server list every five minutes and compare it with what is normal for this hour. If the current count is within a quarter of the usual number for this hour, we call it up. Below half the usual number, we call it down.

Why does my game show no servers when this page says they are up?

Then the issue is on your side or Steam's, not with Rust. Restart Steam, clear your server browser filters, and check Steam's status. On force wipe day, update Rust before trying again. The ordered list above covers each step.

How fresh is this page?

The time under the verdict shows when the server list was last read, usually within six minutes. If the reading is more than twenty-five minutes old, we say so instead of guessing.
